Love, love, love this show! This is our first season watching. We cannot believe that we somehow missed this show until now. We have been DVR-ing past shows so that we can have Shark Tank marathons.

That 18 years old girl was incredibly impressive. I’m surprised it took so long for one of the sharks to bite on her idea.

From what I’ve seen, a prototype and a video won’t cut it. They want sales. They don’t want to work with a complete start up; they want someone who’s done that work and has simply hit a wall, where they need the big players.

There have been a couple of “we just started and don’t have any sales” pitches on Shark Tank. The response to those favorably received was, “Get it going and come back to us when you’ve gotten sales. Otherwise, we have no way to value your business.”

Ordered ecreamery as a get well gift recently because of the show. They do customized ice cream delivery where you get to name the flavor. On the expensive side, but no more so than flower delivery.

I think some people are aware of this and go on for advertising and exposure, regardless.

I think the lady with the elephant medicine dispenser thing for kids only had a prototype, but not positive. https://avatheelephant.com/

You all may be right about needing product and sales, but I thought I recalled a few instances where someone had an idea and they got funded. We’ll see. Maybe we can generate enough interest initially on our own. :)
