<p>damn i liked him too… he was pretty tight at bulldogs days… now hes going to be my enemy. (im a huge Cal fan… i hate stanford… they rejected me… etc. etc.) i hope he burns in Palo Alto… or at least in his wallet considering the housing and living expenses are some of the highest in the world… welcome to the bay.</p>

<p>In the end of the article, it says he’s returning to the West, so maybe that’s where he and his wife grew up. It makes sense, I’d go to the one closer to my home as well. </p>
<p>I’m making this up, maybe somewhere in the article it says where he grew up.</p>
<p>It is true that several top administrators have left Yale in the past couple of years to accept great jobs elsewhere, but in no way does that indicate there’s trouble in Paradise (Yale). It shows that Yale has top people and they are wanted by other top schools. It also is wonderful that Yale has such qualified people to take over until they make permanent appointments.</p>
<p>From a quality of life viewpoint…raising kids and a family in the south bay–even if it is near the center of all evil in the universe (stanford)–seems like a no brainer when compared to New Haven.</p>
