Son would like a shelf or storge of some sort for next to his desk on his dorm wall. The wall is smooth and not the typical “block” wall. Of course it needs to be something that can be attached in a way that doesn’t damage the wall - no screws, drilling - that kind of thing.

Anyone purchase something of this sort? Doesn’t need to hold heavy weight items - think he just wants to store a few things, display some photos etc.

My kids and many of their dorm mates liked this “Dorm Space Saver” from BedBath&Beyond. Most kids put it at the head of their bed, but my kids put it at the foot of their beds, then put their computer on it and used their iPhone as a remote (app is Logitech TouchMouse) for their computer to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime movies/TV shows. Also used the shelves for alarm clock, storage bins, assorted bottles:), clip-on light, etc. This is a free-standing shelf with a wide base that fits around most if not all dorm beds. It is a well-built, quality shelf.
Apparently this shelf fits around/over desks, also. News to me!

Both my D and S used one. The posts assemble easily and comes in a tall, flat box. My S sold his after he graduated, my D kept hers and will put it over her desk.
