She's home - empty water heater...

… I’m so happy. D is home for nearly 2 weeks of spring break. Her bro “dropped by” when we got back from the airport and we had a great session of sitting on the kithen counter (not usually allowed - means everyone gets to talk with no manners accounted for) eating pizza and laughing.
She’s now in the shower - I think she’s got about 15 more minutes before
… oh my heavens the water is off already. Maybe living in the dorms has had some influence.

LOL, dragonmom.
Mine is home later today, has been known to fall asleep in the shower! We’ll see!

D will be home next week time to stock on her favorite things in the pantry. Orders from the HIGH COMMAND,my W. She acts as if our D has been gone a year when it’s only been 90 days.

We just installed a tankless hot water heater…no more cold showers for me, since I’m the last one in :)

S comes home this Friday…My washer and dryer are ready so is my pantry, and all the other electric items in our house. Of course he will be spending the first few days chilling at home and sleeping in. But I look so forward to just having him in the house with us, either awake or asleep.

My daughter has been home since Friday and we have seen her for approx 4 hours total!! She has either been at the boyfriends house, with her best friend (who also happens to be on spring break), or sleeping. She is leaving on Wednesday with a group of kids from school for 4 days in Montreal…guess we won’t be seeing much of her at all!!

Jillie, DD did a trip to Montreal last summer. The girls had a great time, but it didn’t occur to any of them that “unlimited roaming” on the cell phones did not include CANADA!!

2cakes:

Oldest son is home as well. I have him to myself for a WHOLE week!! No dirty laundry brought home since they have uniforms. (Other son will bring home loads!! well, that which the team doesn’t wash) His room is clean, bed made, like he isn’t even home!!! Makes for a sad, NOT NEEDED, mommy!

He’s quiet too.

Kat

Too far for S to come home for just a week, so I am jealous of you all.

Oh well, he will spend spring break with some cousins and they will have a grand time…

Ok, she stopped by the restaurant where she used to work and they nabbed her - no more empty evenings, it’s chips and salsa and greasy footprints until break is over. I guess the water heater thing is going to be full on!

2cakes…thanks for the heads up on the text messaging. My darling daughter must text with her boyfriend 30 times a day!! That could really add up from Montreal. She just called me after her first night up there and is having a blast.

laxmom, do you like the tankless heater? Can you tell if it really makes a difference in utility bills?
