Shoes if you will be on your feet all day

Merrell Siren Sport…love these…am on my third pair

Wolky shoes…pricey but worth it

Mephisto shoes…pricey but worth it

Dankso…lov’m…but they look really goofy with slim leg pants or skirts

Birkenstocks…they have a break-in period unless you get the soft sole ones.
I have the hard sole kind but after break-in they have been super comfy.

I second the suggestion of Merrell’s Jungle Mocs. I have them in Nubuck and recently ordered a similar Merrell in a mesh fabric for summer. I’m on my feet all day and have wide “problem feet” with high arches. The Jungle Moc is the best shoe I’ve found so far. I can also bike to work in them and they’re pretty good for walking.

What do you all recommend for a narrow foot? It’s the rare top brand that actually offers a 2A shoe. (I also have a narrower heel and a high arch.) I really don’t like the clog look. I usually end up with Naturalizer or Clark, but the heel is loose. I need something dressier that a running shoe for work.

Aravon which is made by new balance have widths.

For the days when I am on my feet a lot I find either Aerosoles or Merrell shoes to be the most comfortable. Of the two I find Aerosoles to be more fashionable.

I could never wear original Birkenstocks even though people have told me they are soooo comfortable. I’ve always found them hard and inflexible with bumps in all the wrong places. The Birkenstock cousins, the “Birkis” have been so much better for me and my weak arches. They at least have some padding.

I also gravitate towards Easy Spirit. Good support, well made.

But the most surprisingly comfortable summer shoe ever I found by accident at Sears’ Land’s End department: the Gatas canvas slip ons. They have an espadrille-ish look but have a memory foam footbed and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) outsole. So lightweight, so springy, and come in a bunch of color variations, and from the looks of what they’re showing in the department stores, that style is currently “in”.

If you’re looking for something to wear when the weather warms up, the Naot Paris is amazingly comfortable and well-reviewed.

For Keen and Dansko people-both are on sale at 6pm.com today-some of each are under $35, and you KNOW that’s crazy cheap!I get their email alerts and wanted to let you all know.

I adore Dansko clogs. I sometimes stand for hours and hours while working. They give great support and put your spine/posture in a good position. I have the type with a back, in black. Last year I bought a pair of Dansko clog sandals, that are cute and also incredibly comfortable.

I find that the last of Clarks does not hit my foot in the right places.

I’ll add a vote for Dansko. I love them. I have a number of different pairs (favorite is the Dansko PROXP). Re old vs. new Dansko–see below.
