Shoot, guys, I dont think I'm ready for the AP Speling 3 exam.

Yeah, I’m in the USA. Don’t hate on Dvorak until you try learning it. =P (seriously, it takes about 1/5 of the time necessary to learn QWERTY, and its so much more efficient)

I can’t imagine using a Dvorak…
@Bobtheboy: Yeah I was always known for being an amazing speller. I won my spelling bees in 4th-7th grade. Didn’t have one in 8th. The one time I actually went to a regional spelling bee for Scripps, I was 10 years old, and I misspelled a stupidly easy word, Erudite. I was so nervous, I almost cried on stage…lmao. I can spell like almost any word. I know how to spell a majority of the words in Scripps.

Haha I kind of suck at spelling, or at least compared to people here.
We had a spelling bee at my elementary school, just before I graduated. People who did the best in their class in this spelling test we had to do were chosen for the spelling bee, anyway, this American guy in my class was chosen. He didn’t do that great, but the first and second place getters were both girls, and the girl who came second cried on stage because she didn’t get first when she deserved it more.
We now go to the same school and to be honest I’m not too keen on her (actually she’s in England atm, long story).

I would dominate AP Typing. I’m the fastest in our school, I’m pretty sure.

lol I remember how close I was to Scripps. I dominated my school spelling bee in 6th grade, lost to an even better speller in 7th grade, but I misspelled diminutive(slap me). 7th grade at my school in VA they didn’t want to make a last second change, and 8th grade she didn’t make a selection and just picked someone out of her ass.

(Finishing up earlier post; didn’t edit w/i 20 mins).
I already learned QWERTY and am extremely proficient with it. Plus, no other computers use Dvorak, so you have to go and change it on every computer. However over 70% of keystrokes are on the home row for Dvorak, so I would guess that you get extremely fast using it.

i went to state and got out on “reveille”. how the fruit should a ten year old know how to spell reveille?
