Well, let me be simple. I received a 31 on the April 2012 ACT without any preparation whatsoever. It’s a good score but I know I can do better. I’m shooting for a 36. Any tips for a fellow American/Amrikan?

Oh, cool. I’m in the same boat as you, give or take a point.

I’m studying according to my weaknesses on the test - which was my knowledge of trigonometry and unfamiliarity with the science questions.

If you pm me, I can get you the pdfs of some good act prep books.

Math seems ok for me but I got a 27 in Reading

Try Barron’s ACT 36. The book is designed for high scorers like you who want to score even higher and get the perfect score. Use The Real ACT Prep Guide for practice tests and dissect the questions you get wrong so that you don’t make the same mistakes in the future.

Ok I’ll look into that. Thanks for the tip!
