Short Answers

One of the short answer prompts asks to discuss a novel. Am I allowed to talk about a play?

P.S.- I can’t tell whether they strictly want a novel or just a piece of writing, but the wording says “novel.”

hmmmmm…I think play would be fine assuming you read it and didn’t just see it??? I’m doing a novel though…so I really don’t know.

The play is “Waiting for Godot”. No, I did not watch it.

Since most readers will expect the traditional definition of “novel”, it would be safer to go with a book that is meaningful to you. You could loose your reader by talking about a play.

if you read the question but didn’t see that is asked for a novel, it might show you didn’t read carefully

i don’t think it really matters though…most likely they will think you just decided to use a play because you had a good case for that

KRabble, I almost did “Waiting For Godot” but, then I decided against it because it wasn’t a novel.
