Short Calculus

I was looking at the agricultural and food business management at the University of Minnesota, and I was wondering what the difference between short calc and calc 1? Does this also mean that I could take only stats as my math? It said Stat or Math? Sorry I’m a high school Junior who is new to all of this.

calc for the dimwitted?

According to the description it is a very basic streamlined version of calculus. Rather than 3 in depth classes like most calculus sequences is just a hodge podge of various calc topics taught in a very broad sense.

The way I read it, it says you will have to take stats and calculus.

Yea, I figured. Thanks you guys. Lol on above post about calc for dimwitted

lol

Yeah at UMD there are like three calc courses. Calc for chem and the life sciences, calc for business and calc for engineering/physical sciences. And of course more advanced calculus courses depending on one’s major.

Wow, Calculus sounds really hard. What is it?

^ A calculus is a small rock or pebble. Of course it’s hard.

Does anyone know if M.Arch programs prefer the Calc prereq to be Calc I as opposed to Short Calc or Physics focused Calc?
