Short High Quality Science Programs...especially biology

DD is a rising sophomore, and is interested in applying for short high quality summer programs, prefeably where she would get to do dissection or other practical life sciences. She has excellent grades and a bio and math teacher who like her, and lives in CA. Any suggestions?

The week-long Georgetown University Medical Institute might be a good fit for her. I attended last summer and we dissected rats, went to the cadaver lab, learned how to suture, and had a morning of practical activities (measuring vitals, drawing blood, that kind of thing). There were also many interesting lectures and a few field trips (UMMC Shock Trauma Center was probably the highlight of the week).
Although this program is not very competitive, it was interesting and engaging. They really managed to fit a lot in during one week - we had activities from 9 to 9 every day.

Ooo…thank you!!!
