Short, light-skinned, but still handsome. Can III do it?

Hi! I’m not the “tall, dark and handsome guy”, but I’m his friend from school. Chance me please?

I know how to play the oboe, piano, saxophone, and all sorts of percussion. However, my PRIME focus is the acoustic guitar. Self-taught, 4 years, I play at concerts at school.
Oh, and I’m gonna get a job this summer…

That pretty much sums it up. However, I have some concerns:
Firstly, I plan to have fun my senior year. I’ll be taking classes like AP BIO, APSTAT, APECON, APWorldLIT, but I think i’ll be shooting for B’s instead of A’s. How will this affect my college admissions?

Secondly, I know alot of people that get into UCLA also get into Cal. If this should happen to me, which should I pick? I hate Cal’s campus, overall competitive aura, lack of good looking chicks, and general gloominess. I love UCLA’s campus, girls, everything. Parents prefer Cal because its more prestigious in the eyes of them and their peers. I was thinking that i should apply to HAS at Cal (hard to get in) and if i get in, major in business at Cal, but otherwise I’d go to UCLA undecided. Sounds like a good plan?

Also, I’m taking two choir classes my senior year. I have exceeded the number of credits required for VPA’s so this is just gonna count as an extra regular (non-honors/ap) class. Will this lower my GPA? I don’t see the logic behind this. If it lowers my GPA they’re essentially penalizing me for taking more classes which I think is BULL.

Alright, Thanks.
CHANCE ME, YEAH?

“CHANCE ME, YEAH?”
no. hahah jk (i know this guy so dont think im a jerk cuz im messin with him)

my understanding was that because you are taking extra classes, you’re diluting your AP/Honor credits some more, like an A in a AP / Honors class is worth 1 point plus the 4.0 right? But doesn’t UC only accept a limited # of honors/AP classes for the extra credit? So once you’ve reached that limit and are taking extra classes, the average becomes lower (but still closer to 4.0). I thought the reason that this wouldnt matter would be due to the fact that admission officers would look at ALL the class you’re taking, rigorous courseload and all. You know what i mean? haha
Im not entirely sure so I need a fact check too.

stanford definetly can’t say you aren’t focused.
but, really, don’t slack senior year. you’ll crap out your great rank, for one thing. but congrats on the gf! that should be its own ec. you would really stand out in the crowd.
but yeah, it’s just the sats that are going to be an issue. once you hit 2200+, i wouldn’t retake.

chances
harvard: less of a chance there because there are so many musical geniuses applying already. i mean, it’s the hometown of the boston pops! iffy chances here.
mit: why? you have no science or math ec’s! do you really want to go here, or are you playng the name game? 10% like everyone else.
caltech: i’m not doing this, because you don’t even want to go here. and anyway, the campus is king of hideousness. what kind of library looks like a skyscraper?
stanford: good shot. 50-60% in, based on what they’re looking for.
all the rest: probably in.

best of luck.

i know this guy.

i think you’ll get in your dream school, just don’t mess up your grades. i don’t think having a girlfriend should affect your grades too much that they fall apart just after one semester. dude, you’ll be like valedictorian. just don’t mess up man. keep it up.

Bumpity Bump.
