Short Question about EC's

<p>So I began filling out the Common App and listed band as my first (and consequently, most important) activity. </p>

<p>Under the Position Held, Honors Won, or Letters Earned bracket, this is what I had:</p>

<p>“1st Chair/Low Brass Leader/State Superior Contest Rating (3x)/Principle’s Outstanding Junior Award/Letter”</p>

<p>Only problem: not enough room. I was wondering if it was safe to assume that adcoms know that I’ve participated in band enough to earn a letter? Is there any other way I can shorten my response?</p>

<p>Since the letter simply reflects the length of time you have been in the band, you don’t need to include that info.</p>

<p>North, at my school (and I’m assuming his, too) you actually have to earn the letter.</p>

<p>Also, I’m sure the other honors you have for band are significant enough that they would assume you lettered or should have.</p>
