In filling out the supplemental to my application, there were a few questions that pertained to my favorite movies, books, and magazines. After looking at my honest responses, I realized that they make me seem superficial; the magazines I read most often are Spin and some car magazines, my favorite movies are things like the 40 Year Old Virgin or Fight Club, and my favorite books section isn’t expansive to say the least. Question is, would being a “normal teenager” work against me? I now know how tempted people are to just portray what they think college admissions officers want to see, but I’m still trying to be as honest about myself as possible.
