Can anyone suggest a good place to take two senior girls for a 4 or 5 day trip? I live on the mid-atlantic east coast if that helps. I’m looking for something not expensive, but camping is definitely out-not my kind of thing. They’ve both been to DC many times, so I think that would be out too. We live close enough to NYC that we are there often enough so that would be out too. Basically looking for some fun and some relaxation as (as many of you have also experienced) it has been four very hard-working years that won’t be over until AP exams (May) and finals (June) are done.

I’m usually good at planning these things, but for some reason I am drawing a blank. Maybe it is just too hard to face the fact that my one and only D will be leaving in August!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I feel I need to plan/budget this trip now. Thank you.

I live in the Northeast and have seen some great cheap fares to New Orleans … all, unfortunately, at times that we can’t go. Fares during our April school break are much higher (of course), but a long weekend at some other point might be fun and affordable.

Thanks for the ideas. New Orleans actually sounds like a possibility. Since my D will be going to school near Boston, I’ll leave that area for her to explore with new friends.

What are you looking for? Sightseeing or relaxing at a beach? What about Bermuda? It is beautiful and very easy to get to - 2 hours from Philadelphia and NYC.
