<p>I was told by a friend that accountants have to deal with lawyers and that businesses will start to hire lawyers with accounting background so they save money, so i was wandering if this is true? I was interested in becoming an accountant but now I’m not so sure.</p>
<p>Everybody has to deal with lawyers. Any time a lawyer gets into the picture it costs money. From a business perspective, it makes sense to have a lawyer with accounting knowledge, but they aren’t going to work on the day-to-day accounting operations. </p>
<p>I am a CPA. Every time someone says to me “a friend said” I end up shaking my head.</p>
