Should everyone fill out FAFSA no matter what?

I am just wondering what income/asset range is not worth the time to fill out the FAFSA. Most merit or school based scholarships come in with acceptance, so is it necessary for all applicants. Of course I want more aid, but when is it not wise to fill that all out-what is the cut-off of -“forget you -your income is too high!”?

Under most circumstances, it is always best to apply for financial aid regardless of your income/assest range. Some schools don’t accept applications in subsequent years (for school aid) if the student didn’t complete the financial aid application during their first year. Other times, you may discover that you are eligible for additional funding outside of the automatic merit or school based scholarships. In addition, some schools will require the complete financial aid application in order to receive some of the merit or school based scholarships that are available. It only take a short amount of time to complete the FAFSA, and it can be well worth the effort.
