Should I appeal the decision of more than one college?

Hi,

I appealed to my admissions decision from a college and was waitlisted. So, It’s not absolutely sure that I would get in. And it is still a long way for the waitlist decisions to come out. So, I was wondering if I could appeal to a decision from another college.

Should I do that?

Should I post this question in another thread?

You can be on as many waitlists as you like. If you were successful in appealing a rejection, i guess you have nothing to lose by trying it again. You need to consider the likelihood of you getting off a wait list over an applicant who wasn’t first rejected. Focus on the schools you’ve been accepted to and deposit by May 1.

Are you appealing denials because you think schools misread your applications or because you are angry about negative decisions? Placing you on a waitlist helps you feel better about your status without changing the reality of of initial decisions. Waitlisted students may be admitted because space becomes available. However, it doesn’t make sense that your appeal placed you at the top of the waitlist list. Yes, do concentrate on schools that accepted your application.

Oh what grounds are you appealing?

You should deposit and plan to attend a school that accepted you and is affordable. It is late to appeal — colleges will be going to their waitlists already next week. And appeals rarely work.

Definitely put a deposit down for a college that HAS accepted you that you would be happy to attend…and then proceed with wait lists and appeals
