Should I apply anthropology or School of Edu. and Soc. Policy

<p>before I begin to explain myself, I KNOW THAT IT IS NOT RIGHT TO APPLY TO COLLEGE BASED ON WHAT MAJOR WOULD BE EASIEST TO GET INTO. HOWEVER, NORTHWESTERN IS MY FIRST CHOICE, AND I AM TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT THE OPTIONS I AM GOING TO PROPOSE.</p>

<p>Sorry about the caps-locks, but I know some ■■■■■ is going to come on these forms and be all: “just believe in yourself.” I understand that this is the case…but I know that Northwestern is my number one school, and I am truly undecided about what I want to enter.</p>

<p>Okay…so I think anthropology is really cool (college of arts and sciences), and I also think that some of the stuff in the school of education and Social Policy is really cool…I would either choose social policy or human development. </p>

<p>Basically, all three of these potential choices are basically in the direction I want to go in. I don’t think that a lot of students apply to SESP…but I don’t know how common it is for students to apply to anthropology either.</p>

<p>Any information you can give me would be truly great. What do you think would be the easiest to get in to.</p>

<p>SESP or WCAS is not likely going to make a difference in your application. What will make a difference is if you apply to SESP without making it clear what about SESP you like (very intimate programs and class sizes, or the social policy major, for example) and the same for anthro/WCAS</p>

<p>Apply to SESP- you’ll actually be employable at graduation.</p>
