Should I apply EA or not + Scoir accuracy

Hello everyone,

I had a couple of questions about the college application process.

  1. How accurate are the scoir scattergrams and acceptance likelihoods? I understand that the scattergrams will be a lot more helpful for schools that have a lot of data, but generally, how useful would they be?

  2. I am not sure if I should apply EA or RD. My grades junior year were significantly worse than my freshman and sophomore years, and brought my GPA down to a 3.3 from a 3.46. I am hoping that my first semester senior year grades will be better, so does it make more sense to apply RD so schools see my hopefully improved grades?

Thank you

Depends on the school - some RD if first semester will help.

Other, EA because they fill most spots that way. So improved grades won’t help if few spots are left.

School by school basis.

Have never seen or used Scoir so no comment there.
