I think I have a fair shot at admission with my extracurriculars; I have more unorthodox interests and strengths. But my ACT (33) and GPA are on the lower side. Do I have a chance at SCEA admission?
Odds are you’ll be deferred and then rejected in the RD round.
@languageluvah cannot even begin to chance you without significantly more information.
@sherpa @psywar I guess my question is this: Does Princeton prefer to admit the statistical best or the wild cards in the EA round? Would one round or the other serve me better?
The way I’d put it is that they prefer to admit the best applicants in the early round, but sometimes the statistical best aren’t the actual best.
What is a lower GPA? 3.8 or 3.2 unweighted?
@languageluvah since they admit more athletes and I think legacies in SCEA, I’m not sure it is only the “statistical best”, but many are. What is your “wild card”? What are your non-wild card stats?
