Should I apply to more schools?

So, here’s the scenario:
I am currently applying from occidental college to Penn, Columbia, and Duke. I have the following stats:

College GPA = 4.00 (with a demanding courseload)
HS GPA = 3.98uw / 5.4w (salutatorian)
SATI = 790m750v 710w
SATII = 800 x 3 (math 2c, chem, hebrew)
12 APs: ten 5’s. two 4’s

Most significant awards:National Merit Scholar, National AP Scholar, Goldwater Fellowship Nominee (app pending), a buncha scholarships

Main college activities: chemistry research (presented + won awards), debate president

I should get two very good recommendations: 1 from my research advisor, and the other from an english professor (to demonstrate well-roundedness)

before getting my green card two months ago, id been an intl student. now that i can apply with the normal admission pool, i want to go to a great school. i would be really disappointed if i wont be able to transfer, so i was wondering if i should broaden my list a bit. In other words, assuming i write good essays, can i expect to get into at least one of these schools?

Thanks!

P.S. - if ne1 could review my essays, id rele appreciate the help!

bump, bump?

bumpity bump

Although you have excellent stats… No, you cannot expect to get into at least one of those schools. They all have single-digit or near single-digit transfer acceptance rates. So no one can “expect to get in.”

If, as you say, you will be really disappointed if you cannot transfer, then you need to broaden your list quite a bit. You need schools with much higher acceptance rates as safety schools.

what major are you interested in?

Sorry for forgetting that part: I am a biochemistry major
