Should I apply to UCLA as undecided?

I am applying to UCLA for fall of 2012, and I was wondering whether I would have a better chance getting in if I put down Art History as my major or undecided. I’m afraid that too many people will pick undecided so I wouldn’t have a big chance. I’m considering undecided because I don’t really want to study Art History, I just want something to pick so that I could transfer to the Architectural Studies major in my junior year (I think they only accept students in that major if they’re juniors). Is that true by the way? And do you have any suggestions for what I should do?

Thank you in advance!

Shouldn’t change your chances that much…unless they have like a huge need to fill some quota for Art History or something. Just pick something you’re interested in, do all the preparation courses for Architectural Studies, and then switch in once you are a Junior.

Put undeclared. I’ve met tons of people who are undeclared with a wide range of stats. Also putting undeclared will make it easier to enter whatever major you want to when the time comes
