I will a 3.57 gpa at the end of junior year. As a sophomore now, In the summer, I am getting surgery for a hernia, which prevented me from playing my favorite sports. Beginning junior year, I am wrestling/fencing. I also have some interesting experiences to write about in my essays, and a killer PSAT score. Will my GPA kill my chances at UPenn?

I have a lot to bring to UPenn, from local to international experiences. For example, I attended the International Muslim Peace Conference in Mumbai, India. Locally, I am a staff writer for the Muslim Link, the main Islamic news paper for the DC area.
I have a blog where I talk about issues affecting a Muslim student in America today, very sincere. I am a sciency type, and I do research at NIH. I have some other outstanding EC’s, but these are the main ones.Straight A’s hopefully next year.
I’m thinking of playing D3 fencing/wrestling at UPenn.

I love the atmosphere at UPenn, how happy everybody is! It’s like everybody is exactly where they want to be. Everybody, for the most part, was excited to share the experiences they had.

Ps: I did lacrosse for a little bit, until the hernia gave me a lot of trouble. Doctor said to drop lacrosse, for fear of serious injury. I’ll continue it later but not for college. We are trying to do the surgery after exams, rather take them than miss them. I should do well on these, because of my previous semester grades.
