Should I attend University of the Pacific or University of San Francisco?

I’m a freshman at a small CSU, CSUB. Im a Business Administration major with a concentration in accounting. I applied to transfer to USF and UOP and was accepted at both schools. For the major Business Admin with a Concentration in accounting. My main reasons for transferring are

  1. CSUB isn’t a prestigious or known school
  2. Bakersfield is a small city and there’s not much opportunities here
  3. I’m missing out on a college experience since I commute from home which is 15 minutes away.
    So which should I choose?
Factors to consider are financial aid
I was offered 22.5k financial aid from UOP 16k of which is scholarship and grant money.
USF still hasn’t made a financial aid offer yet.
I want to go on to go get my masters in accounting and become a CPA. And maybe go into law school afterwards depending on the situation then.
Give me pros and cons of each school
for academics, location, opportunity and life at each school

They are both fine but very expensive schools. Given you plans to obtain an advanced degree and since you are studying business, I’d say a CSU is probably a better option unless you have lots of $ to throw at your BS.

I don’t know your stats but, CSULB, CSU Fullerton, Chico, Sonoma and Sac are among many of the CSUs that have $7k/yr tuition, solid business programs and and a good number of students living on or near campus. Why not transfer to one of them?

Money is not too big of an issue for me, the financial aid is just a supplement

I currently go to UoP, and Stockton is honestly boring and super hot during the summers. You might have more fun at USF just because it’s in the city and there’s a lot to do in SF. However, UoP has professional fraternities for business that you might find interesting. Joining one is a great way to get a college experience and to create connections that may be helpful in the future.
