Should I avoid Stonehill College because of their lack of protection for LGBTQ?

Stonehill College doesn’t include LGBTQ students or staff in the discrimination policy. Not only does this effect me directly (I’m gender-fluid, pansexual) but it goes against anything that I believe. I am also not Catholic. Are these reasons for me to avoid even applying, but especially going to Stonehill College, or does it not actually make a big difference?

Why are you considering it?

Stonewill College is sort of known for being traditional and conservative. Doesn’t sound like your cup of tea.

It has good academics and a really good reputation in my area. They also offer great financial aid - basically untouchable compared to any other schools I could get into.

If the school is in your area, I’d suggest you visit, candidly ask any questions you have on this topic, and then determine if it could be a possibility for you.
