Should I be worried?

I’m doing a BS in Bioinformatics.I’m just worried whether I’d not be good(or fail) at any future job.

My GPA is not bad,it isn’t great either.I’m just an average student who struggles with few courses(like organic or tough programming courses) but ends up passing them with a B or C. (i get few A’s though)

Of course, I do not expect my job in the future to be void of any struggle, I just fear FAILING at it.

Thanks in advance

From your words, I can read one thing that you lacks self confidence. In order to succeed, you must have self belief and hence everything will come good for you. Throw away all your unwanted failure thoughts and start to think positively. You have said you will get passed all tests, but problem is that scores are a bit low. Hence I suggest you to focus on improving that score level than fearing what may happen in future.

@DreamingMo123 , You will never, ever succeed at anything you don’t try.

Everything else will have mixed results. Some will be earth shattering successes, other embarrassing failures. Learning how to balance the two are part of growing up.

But I think that being on a site like this one can be brutal on the ego. It seems that everyone here is a straight A, super-student.

The more typical reality, at least among the thousands of high school kids I’ve taught over the years, is that most people tend to be more like you. Some A’s, some B’s, some C’s.

“Average” isn’t a bad word. Lots and lots and lots of “average” people are stunning successes at their jobs. They find the person of their dreams and live fulfilling lives.

I know nothing-- really, nothing, about bioinformatics. But it seems to me that the primary requirements of any degree, any job are the willingness to learn, and the willingness to admit mistakes and to learn how not to remake those same mistakes.

I think that if you can develop, or improve, on those two qualities, you’ll be a success at any career you choose.
