should I bother applying

I am currently a junior on a college search for next year, My dad went to princeton, so i would be a legacy and I am wondering if I should even bother applying or if I dont stand a chance in the hypercompetitive pool.
Stats: all honors or ap courses taken fresh and soph year, then dropped to college prep from ap track, 3. 5 unweighted GPA, but strong upswing in junior year with only 1 B, top 10 % in class, 33 act, have not yet taken SAT II, but expecting 750<, Classes by end of Sr year: I am taking organic chem next year as a senior at a 4 yr university near my school (extremely unusual for people at my school, I may be the first). 2 years of band, 3 years of FL (spanish II, III and IV), 5 yr Math including Calc BC and AP stats, 6 Years lab science, English 2 yr honors, 2 yr college prep, All AP/Honors electives, all 5s on 5 ap tests taken before admission ECs: Marching and Jazz band freshman year, Football and all season training Soph-Sr year, Jobs held since summer of fresh year (3 total, but current one for 2 1/2 years, leadership role at work). Random academic/character awards. Starting a chem research organization/club at my school sr year (already approved)

My main concern is my low GPA, and my class rank might be affected in my mid year report because I will only be taking 5 classes next year at my hs instead of the reg 7 bc organic chem and calc will not be at my high school.

why not? (10chars)

You should apply.

the 65 or so $

how big of a deal is being a legacy in the ivys

It’s a big deal if they frequently donate… But if they don’t, it’s definitely not an auto-admit.

I don’t know. Do it unless the 65$ is a huge deal for you. Since you have a job, I’d say that you could probably spare it. Give it a go, and good luck!

Without applying, you have a zero percent chance of getting in.

It’s worth the time you’ll spend on putting your ECs to best light and writing your essays, which I think are a bigger deal than $65.
