Should I bother explaining my Physics SAT score?

It was 700 first time, 710 second time (which still isn’t that great).

I had to self-study almost all of the material because I only took AP Physics C: Mechanics. On my transcript it only lists the class as “AP Physics” though, so adcoms wouldn’t be able to extrapolate that from it.

I was thinking of writing, “I would like to note that for SAT Physics, my class curriculum did not cover most of the material” under additional info.

But then again 710 is still 700+.

Should I bother? Will it look somewhat bad if I do?

btw, for ivies/pseudo/almost-ivies

Self-study is common nowadays, and is certainly no excuse. Unless your intended college demands physics, just score-choice.

It would be silly to do so. A 710 is a good score. “Explaining” why it wasn’t as good as you’d like would simply draw attention to the score and say more about you than the score.

Your score is 700+. leave it as it is.
