<p>I was wondering whether to fill out duke financial aid forms (or HYPS, if I get in). My mom is an eye doctor and my dad is a general surgeon, both close to retirement. Adjusted gross income probably around 400k. My older brother goes to Harvard, so our combined tuition would be around 100k/yr. I didn’t think I would get any FA, but I was wondering if I should apply anyway. Thanks!</p>
<p>The wisdom I have read is always fill out fin aid forms because you never know–you might need aid down the road and it is best to have a starting point or paper trail. What happens if for some awful reason your parent(s) can’t work any more before you have finished school and thereby, not be able to finishing paying for it? Better be safe than sorry…my 2 cents.</p>
