I got a 31 on the ACT in December as a first time junior. I am signed up to take the SAT in January but I am thinking about cancelling and just focusing on the ACT. I got a 193 on my PSAT.
ACT Composite: 31
English: 28
Math: 32
Reading: 32
Science: 31
Essay: 8

It really depends on what schools you are interested in. Some schools prefer SAT over ACT.

^^ I have not seen one competitive school that prefers either test. As for OP, if you want to make it easier on yourself I would just stick with the ACT. If you can get your score up a few points you’ll be good to go for wherever you apply. I think preparing and taking for the SAT would be an unnecessary hardship.

^thanks a lot - I dont want to have to go through all that extra studying of vocab and stuff thats SAT only
