Should I buy student season tickets?

I'm not that into football, but I guess it's huge at U of M. How much do regular student tickets cost? Would I end up saving a lot of money if I get season tickets, assuming I go to most of the games?

Thanks

I think student season tickets were around $200. I would suggest you buy them. Football is a large part of UM (although if you really don't want to partake, you don't have to), and football Saturdays are always crazy and fun. The games themselves are a pretty interesting experience even if you're not that into football. If you change your mind later, you can always sell your tickets. You'd probably make good money with the State ticket at least.

If Michigan does well this season, you could easily sell your tickets and make a profit.

Wait, when you buy a season ticket, can you sell tickets to individual games? Or you have to sell the entire season ticket? and does anyone know how much a 1 game ticket usually cost for students?

You can sell individual tickets. You could probably sell a ticket for a low ranked at or a little above face value, but for games like Michigan State or Ohio State, you may be able to get $100-$200 dollars. It all depends on how well we do, but most likely you can get your money back

I would recommend getting the tickets for your first year. I decided not to get them my second year because I would rather watch at home and be able to sit down than stand out in the heat for several hours, but just going to the games is an experience. Everyone told me I'd feel left out on football saturdays if I didn't have tickets and I think they were probably right. But now that I've done it once, I am content with hockey tickets.

Get them. You can break even by selling big games like MSU if you don't end up liking the games. But you will like the games (and the tailgates).

You should definitely get the tickets!!! I never missed a game when I was a student - even if the weather sucked or I was sick. The only way you can buy single game student section tickets is through another student who doesn't want them. You can only sell your tickets to another student or the buyer has to pay the difference between the student ticket price and a regular ticket price (about $25). Tickets for games like Notre Dame, Penn State, MSU and Ohio St will have good resale value but other games usually don't. I know people who would sell their Ohio State tickets and use the money to pay for the rest of the season.

Get them at least for freshman year. Its an experience.
