Should I call to add title for commapp essay?

I did not include the title in my common app essay. Should I call colleges and ask them to add the title?

The problem was that working in Pages I could not upload the document, and when I changed it to a word editor I did not select the title…
What should I do? Do they expect essays to have a title?

No, no one I’ve spoken to has a title. Don’t worry about it.

Nooooooooo.

Anyone else?

no-they are too busy in admission right now to make such a trivial update to your application. It implies that you lack a sense of perspective as to what is important and what isn’t.

But it was a mistake…:frowning:
Do people’s common app essays have titles?

I understand that it was a mistake and that you’re worried. M’s Mom is right; calling now shows a lack of perspective.

My daughter wrote many, many essays for the eight colleges and five or so scholarship applications she completed, and none had a title.

According to her common application, she took the ACT in early 2001 (yes, she would have been 9 years old) and again in June 2010. There is a funny thread somewhere on CC about various mistakes people have made on applications, and have lived to tell the tale. Some were even actually admitted to college!

Don’t call. It’s not a big deal

You don’t need a title. Many (most?) people don’t have one. Honestly. It’s not a mistake.

I had a title for my commonapp essay that went with the theme without revealing too much, but I still would not call colleges concerning this.
