Should I Call to Recieve my AP Scores?

I took 8 AP tests this year, and I’m anxious to recieve my AP scores. I live in Maryland, but I’m currently in Mumbai, India right now at an internship in a Consulting and Analytics Firm (my parents are still in the US).

Here are the exams I took:

AP Calc BC
AP Physics C: Mech
AP Physics C: E&M
AP Lang
AP Stat
AP Macro
AP Micro
AP World

I’m very anxious to hear my scores on Lang and World, but I think I got a 5 on every other exam. Do u think I should call CB to hear my scores?

I’m the same way about lang

I would have your parents call and then e-mail you to save a charge to your phone (it’s only toll-free in the US). I called, so . . . . I advise you to do the same if:
A) You’re to anxious to wait (wait seems unbearable)
B) Have a practical reason for it (i.e., registering for college classes b4 the scores arrive by mail).

I got a 4 in English

I now regret it

The rest of my day is ruined and if the past few days are any indicator, I should be staying up until 4 am and that is four more hours

do it :). Even if you did worse, you’re day would be ruined sooner or later. Just call and get it over with. Good luck!

Actually, I’m a rising senior so there isn’t any ‘practical’ reason for me to ask for my scores early.

But i’m still interested in Calling CB. Any one else have an opinion?

Don’t waste your money… Contact your teachers or your guidance counselor on July 5th and just have them tell you your scores. If that is not possible, just wait out the 2 weeks for the mailed scores. If you have a distraction in an internship, you’ll forget about them until your parents call you and tell you your scores are in. Last summer, I was doing dual enrollment classes and just kinda forgot about the scores until I cam home and saw the letter from the CB in the mail. :)

I think you should call. I was overseas last summer when AP scores were released, and I knew I wouldn’t get to see the paper report until August/September, so I decided to bite the bullet and paid $8 to get my scores. This year, I’m a graduated senior, so I’m just waiting for my college to post my scores on its application portal (which should be anytime soon because a few people have already reported being able to access their scores).

If you’re a little wuss like me and you don’t have the patience to wait then by all means go ahead. I was a bit worried about my Physics and Calc scores although I was reasonably sure I got 5’s on both of them. Unfortunately I have the patience level of a tapeworm and so ended up calling. Felt alot better after I got them.

I agree, don’t waste your money! You do not want to be giving anymore to those CollegeBoard people…

I would definitely call! For some reason the $8 seems like a lot, but if you think about it $8 is really not that much. You’re basically paying $1 per score! Don’t get me wrong, I am totally against the principle of paying anymore money to CB, but I was seriously way too impatient to wait another few weeks.

I agree with @jalmoreno though, if it will cost you more to call internationally, then just have your parents call and email you with the scores!

i believe it is $8 per score.

^
No, it’s not. $8 per call.

^Yeah, it’s $8 per call. I called, paid $8, and got 5 scores.

Listen to your heart.

Thanks to everyone posting on this forum for sharing their opinions. I called Collegeboarda bout 20 minutes ago, and it turns out that I got all 5’s :). those of u who said ‘call’ were right, it was worth $8.

Congratulations!

Congrats!

Yes it is definitely worth the relief it brings! haha.
