Should I change up my course load?

I am a Sophomore student and I have taken all honors and AP classes available plus elective courses that are pretty hands on and require homework. I’ve been doing okay so far this year, but it’s very very difficult. I am feeling work burn out as all I ever seem to do is homework and studying.

I am thinking of taking an incomplete in or dropping a course or two so that I can focus on the other classes more as well as getting more sleep, eating more, etc. I know there is a way to do this without it going on my record or damaging my GPA.

However I am also a perfectionist (a big pain sometimes) and I don’t know if I’ll regret not taking as many courses as I can. I definitely want to stand out to get into a good college.

Right now I have a 4.0 GPA and about half of my credits have been earned for high school graduation. Do you think it’s worth it to change up my course load? Or should I keep my course load the same and just ease up on the studying, even if it may drop my grade some?

Will it show up as incomplete or that you dropped?

To be honest, unless you’re failing an AP class, it’ll look like you quit. If you get a B in AP English and decide to drop it for second semester it’ll look bad. A lot of people did that for our 11th grade AP Literature class.

I say stick it out. As and Bs are good grades for an AP course.
