Should I defer my A2 exams?

I got accepted at a safety college in the US, and one university in Canada.

I have decided to take a gap year.

Should I defer the exams I have in May and give the exams in October? I have already registered for the May exams, and my preparation is not great, although not terrible.

If you take a gap year then colleges you apply to will take into consideration, ‘how productively you have used your gap year’. So, if you do defer your exams to Oct, then you’d have to do something quite productive for the next few months.

I would suggest finish your exams in May and participate in internships/voluntary works/something else which might interest you. After all your A-Level results are not the most important factor in college admission decisions

Secondly, since you are going to take a gap year, it would be quite beneficial to apply ED/EA. Because acceptance rates for ED/EA applicant is much higher than RD. So, taking your exams in October might not be a very good decision

Shameless bump.
