I recently applied to Northwestern and have pretty good test scores, grades, ECs, and leadership positions (35 ACT, 2290 SAT, 4.59 weighted GPA). I have not visited Northwestern or attended any informational sessions, but plan to visit them over break. However, this planned visit is not on my application. I am not the most social person in the world, but can hold a decent conversation. Should I do a Northwestern alumni interview? I feel like should show some interest, but don’t want it to hurt my application.

A positive interview can never hurt.

Always do the interview, no matter how strong your EC’s and scores are. It shows demonstrated interest and NU loves that.
