Should I do both the ACT and SAT?

I would perform similar on both, for the ivies and mit/caltech/stanford does it look impressive if I get 36 and 2400 on both or would it better financially saving the fee and do the top colleges only look at one of them?

I will definetly do the SAT but should I do the ACT as well in essence.

If you actually can get both a 2400 on the SAT and a 36 on the ACT then I say go for it. That would look very impressive on your resume, but don’t neglect the other important parts. It’ll help you stand out for sure.

Thanks for your reply, I am doing a levels in maths, further maths, physics, chemistry for background.

But I want to do the SAT before Jan due to the 2400 scale just on that basis though, I am international too if that helps?

I would do both. Especially since it is very difficult to get a perfect score on both tests.

@fnaticMSiNate: OK so since you are an international applicant it is definitely in your best interest to impress college admission officers as much as you can since your competition is already very hard.
