I was just admitted into the MCSP program that will be in West Quad next year. Though I am excited for the community service aspect of it, the main reason I joined the community was for central campus housing. Is West Quad a social dorm with lots of freshman? I heard its mostly upperclassmen, so would sticking with the lottery and seeing if I get into Markley or Bursley be better? Since I heard those dorms are more social and have more freshmen.
Isn’t MCSP in East Quad?
Never mind, it got moved to West Quad.
If it is an MLC, it cannot be upperclassmen filled.
@billcsho The MLC would be a part of West Quad, that doesn’t necessarily mean that West Quad would not house non-MLC upperclassmen. Historically, I believe West Quad has actually been upperclassmen dominated.
@yikesyikesyikes East Quad is under renovation right now. When it re-open this Fall, the room assignment may be totally different from before. Just like Stockwell which used to be a girls only dorm but now it is for all sophomores. So don’t count on the historic fact. When there is a MLC housed in a dorm, it takes a significant numbers of room from it. If there are upperclassmen, they probably would be in the Cambridge House side. In any case, it may be fair distribution instead of upperclassmen filled as before they move the MCSP to it.
