I’m a California high school student and I recently enrolled in a psychology class. However, I’ve been finding the class extremely difficult, and it leaves me no time for any other activities, like volunteering or even getting a summer job. Despite my efforts, I’m also not preforming that well in the class, and I most likely will pass with only a C or a B. I also can’t study for the SAT, or any of my next years AP exams, like I was originally planning to. Also, this is a dual enrollment class, so I was earning both high school and college credits, but I don’t need this class to graduate from high school. I was wondering: should I drop this class and self-study for the AP psychology exam instead? Any guidance is welcome
Not sure how far into the class you are but, Summer college courses move at a rapid pace. If you are half way through and think you can get a B, that is a strong performance and you should probably stay put and finish up. If you are just getting started, are pretty sure you’ll earn a C or worse and you can drop without a W on your transcript, that may be the best course.
