Should i drop my spanish 8 class?

I've already taken 3.5 years of spanish in high school. I'm debating whether or not i should drop my spanish class in the spring term of senior year. Will it matter much in whether i get accepted or not? May i be required to take spanish in college because of this? SHOULD i drop it or keep spanish 8?

I go to school in New York and plan on attending a university in Mass or NY....if that makes a difference.

Thank you!

Finish the fourth year of foreign language. Having four years is strongly recommended at many (if not most) schools, and dropping this class could influence decisions.

even if i really dislike that class??.

ookay. Thank you.

Provided you meet the minimum graduation requirements for your school district, and the minimum admissions requirements for the colleges/universities that you have applied to, you can quit taking a foreign language/math/English/phys ed/science/whatever. So the pertinent question here is, have you met those requirements?

If you have, and you really hate the class, go sit down with your guidance counselor and talk about your options for this last semester of high school.

@RedSeven - All colleges have told me is that they recommend at least two years foreign language. Personally I would drop it and take another academic class. I don't believe it will show a lack of commitment.
