i am struggling with my summer online class… i think i am wrong because i am not supposed to take a science online class in this short 6 weeks class and i thought online class is easy to pass :(…
I used to drop many class with W records in my previous college and i got at least 6 W record from the previous college. The major reason was i need to work to support my own financial situation, so i just focused on working.
This year, Actually i transfer to another college because it is closer with my house. So i have attend two college so far. After i came back to school, i decided to be a full time student, so i was trying to satisfy my full time credit units this summer and i added this geography online class, which is just one of GE requirements class… But it was difficult to study this subject by myself, i thought i was supposed to take it with professor in class not online class…Now, i am worried about i will get bad grade on my first exam, and i will see my grade of first exam is good or bad and then decide to drop this class with W or continue working on this class to get a final grade. If the final grade is D or F, i may retake it to reach better grade.
Honestly, for my current situation, i do not want to continue working on this class in summer in because i want to work on science class in fall or spring semester, which are with plenty of time to study for it.
But i do care my Withdrawal recored from previous college, also, if i drop this online class, it will be the seventh Withdrawal on all my transcripts. I am on graphic design major and i am planning to transfer to CSU school, such as CSULB , CSULA, CSUN or CSUF. Do these school care that a student has too many W records? or will they reject a student has many W records? If i explain these Withdrawal recored, does this still have opportunity to transfer?
Could anyone give me some suggestions? I am struggling that should i withdrawal this class or get D or F and retake it to get better grade? please help me !! thanks !!!
A W plus a retake will be better than an F with a retake.
^W will not lower your GPA!
Take the W. Contrary to what students think, I asked counselors at both CC and UC, and they said W’s won’t hurt you.
