Should I Even Bother Applying?

Just got my SAT score today and I’m really disappointed with what I got. I feel so conflicted, because I don’t know if I should just apply EDI with the scores I have, or wait to take the SAT again for EDII. However, I’ve taken the SAT 3 times already (counting the Oct one), and I don’t want to seem like I’m taking so many SATs by taking a 4th one. I’ve studied so hard for the past two summers and while I’m proud I broke 1900, I really wanted at least a 2000.

Here are my stats! Do you guys think I should apply EDI? I’m leaning towards it, just giving it my best shot. I would also be happy with LSP and have filled out the LSP portion on the Common App. NYU is my dream (and my reach) school, but I know I have to be realistic about this.

Thanks for anyone who wants to provide feedback!

Improving your SAT some 50 points won’t really help your application. I would recommend applying and seeing what happens.

Have you considered taking the ACT? Some people do significantly better on one over the other.

@NYU2013 Thanks for your feedback! I’m thinking about applying as well and just seeing what happens.

@cellopop I took a practice ACT last year and forgot what I even got on that haha. Unfortunately, it’s too late for me to start familiarizing myself with the ACT now.

You should ALWAYS bother applying, anywhere. That’s what I learned after applying to colleges and going through a massive pain.

@lullinatalk Thanks for your input! I’m definitely gonna take the chance and apply now.

Bump post! Can anyone chance me and tell me if I have a shot for CAS or LSP EDI?

hey, can you please tell me can I apply for NYU if I were neither a us citizen nor a us resident
