So basically I made a 30 ACT in December (33 E, 33 M, 28 S and 25 R). I could have scored higher in all sections but I just have such a struggle with the timing on the ACT; I didn’t finish any of the sections.
I made a 2170 SAT this Jan and I’m planning on getting 2250+ hopefully, but should I still retake the ACT again? If I don’t retake, should I still send a 30 ACT given I made a ~2200 SAT score? (I’m applying to competitive colleges).
I would retake it if I were you. If you truly believe you can get at least a 33-34, then its worth retaking. Some people might disagree with me, but it won’t hurt you to take it again.
Take it again, specially if you are applying to colleges that superscore ACT. S and R are notorious for having very little time, practice and practice and you should be fine. Do the 5 ACT tests from Red book and there are like 4 practice tests for ACT out on internet from 2008-2015.
You might need to submit subject tests if you go the SAT route- if so do you have them? If not, definitely retake the ACT as you might get a higher score now that you have taken one and have an idea of what to expect. And many schools allow for ACT with writing OR SAT with subject tests.
