<p>lightingmom makes an excellent points and I agree re: guidance counselors and this field. Ours didn’t even advise my S to take a music theory elective, so he took 2 choir/chorus classes per year but he should have taken at least one music theory corse. So do your homework here, on the school websites etc. and keep your grades up. Even is audition is the most important there is academic money out there for college.</p>
