Should I finish my degree first or do my pre meds concurrently?

Hi there, I just entered my local community college(DVC) as an undecided major(maybe english/math) and before I entered college I came from an overseas high school with a bad education and we only had K-10 instead of K-12. I was a B student in HS and now I am doing great at my classes that I have taken. So my question is should I go beyond full time(12/15units per sem) to fulfill the prerequisites of the needed premed? For example in a semester I plan getting Eng, Math, Psych, ( and adding maybe an introductory to integrated biology/chemistry).

I never really had any experience science classes with labs except for theory/lectures and I’ve only touched a damn microscope a few times in my entire life. I’m worried that the lowest course for the specific premed would be difficult already for me because of something I never learned.

Talked to a counselor and she didn’t seem to understand that what I need for the science premeds should have Labs and all the crap confuses me what classes are appropriate for me and what I should take.

Anyways, do you recommend me taking 18unites per semester to do the preqs of the premed course(with courses for my major )that I need to get to? Or should I solely focus on getting my degree to transfer to a university then go back to comcollege to get the premed courses and do the higher courses at uni?

It is always better to take all premed requirements in a 4 year college. However if you have to take some pre-req in the CC in order to get your ASsociate degree, go ahead and take them.

Med school do not care if you are full time student or not as long as you do your best and take the hardest courses that is offered in your school and get all As.
