Should I get a cheap pair of skull candy headphones?

The lifetime warranty is mighty enticing. I already have a good pair of headphones I use inside (Beyerdynamic DT-660’s). However, I need phones to use outside. In the past few years, I’ve literally gone through scores of headphones (they were really cheap though, like $1). For that, I wouldn’t mind buying a pair of decent headphones for about $30 that I could renew whenever…

Are there any other brands that do this?

if it’s a limited warranty you might not be able to “renew whenever.”

they also look stupid…bose is the way to go…

just search amazon for better quality headphones like sennheiser or bose, sometimes there’re sweet deals. i got an amazing sennheiser for $20 and i’ve been using it for around 6 months, it’s the best pair of headphones i’ve ever used! i think it’s cx300.

If you’re paying $30, you’re paying too much. I got my Skull Candy headphones for $6 at TJMaxx.

They’re cheap and decent headphones…I bought a pair like a year ago and I still have them.

If you don’t mind getting your ears raped by substandard quality.

They’re like ten bucks at Target I believe.

Try something from Sony. Target carries 3 levels from $12 - $50.

Yeah, I got my gf skullcandy headphones and she thinks they are both hip and quality, but frankly, I find them unacceptable in terms of sound quality. So if you want to spend ten bucks on headphones that other people will be able to recognize as better-ish than the standard apple earbuds, then go for it. If you care about the music, I would splurge a bit more - I too have had good luck with sennheiser.

I got mine for free.

Heh heh heh…
