Should I get an Associate's degree? Is it worth anything?

I think the answer is yes, if you fall into one of the categories below:

  1. You aren't 100% sure what you want to do for a career
  2. You want skills that will be immediately applicable to a job
  3. You don't want $100000 student debt that will take you over a decade to pay off
  4. You don't want over $80,000 in loss wages from the two additional years of school that a bachelors degree requires.

You could also use the associate’s to help get a bachelors if you’re interested in that also. I think going to a CC is a good idea for almost anyone unless you get a scholarship to a 4 year school. The only issue I can really think of is that most of the students won’t be interested in learning like they would be at a more prestigious school. I made a video discussing some of these things in more depth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DiD1Gl0Z78

Yes, it is worth something. You can pause there and hit the job market for experience before moving on, or you can move directly into a BA or BS degree track at a transfer school. Sure.
