I’m currently an environmental science major and I don’t like it as much as I thought I would. I wanted to use environmental science to help people, but the program is more about helping the environment through research and policy. I came across an Outdoor Leadership degree the other day and that sounds like exactly what I want to do. The problem is that my school doesn’t have an official Outdoor Leadership degree. Some people had advised me not to do an Interdisciplinary Studies degree, but I found out that Outdoor Leadership is the most common route that people take at my school when doing Interdisciplinary Studies. Should I do that or not?

Talk to your councilor/advisor about placement with that degree.
