After I get my BBA in finance, I’ve decided to not go on for my MBA. I have heard that the income differential between a BBA and an MBA isn’t that much anyway. Being an older student, I probably wouldn’t have enough working years left to benefit from an MBA. I do plan on getting my CFP certification. Should I be satisfied with this or should I have a minor to accompany this major or are there are more certifications I can get. I’m trying to make myself as marketable as possible without the MBA.

You might want to think about getting your MBA at night.

That way, you won’t be giving up two years of income.

There is no rush to get it.

Do it as slowly as the school allows you to do so.

It all depends what your ultimate goal is. Some jobs need an MBA and some don’t. MBAs from certain schools will increase your income more than MBAs from other schools. Conditions vary and YMMV.
I have seen many employees at Charles Schwab and Fidelity with CFP designation.
