I transferred my job from Tennessee to Michigan. I live with my parents in Michigan but my grandma raised me in Tennessee.
Anyways I went to Tennessee College of Applied Technology and I was looking at local colleges in Michigan but I can’t transfer my credits from Tennessee College of Applied Technology because its not regionally accredited.
I had about 6 months of school left
@ChrisD2S You only have one semester left. When you finish you will have an associates? In what? I am concerned about what you are saying about accreditation.
Diesel Technology
So you will have an associates in Diesel Technology. What accreditation are they using. Is it ABET?
Ok so went to their website, Diesel is under automotive perhaps? You need to go back and finish. You’re almost done. Can you live with someone for 6 months? That seems like a useful profession. Good job.
On their website it states that “All of the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs) are accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).”
@ChrisD25 You’ll be good for a job. You’re learning useful skills. But you need to go back to finish. Can you make that work?
It is a useful profession I was living with my grandma. I am working with walmart and I wanted to work at the walmart distrubition center and be a diesel tech there but i’m having my options open
I could go back to school sometime in August
@Chris525 Go live with Grandma for six months and finish then. I’m sure it’s nice for her to have you there anyway. Sounds like you have a good plan with WalMart but with options.
Yeah I will apply to Tennessee College of Applied Technology tonight
@ChrisD25 Not worth the hassle to change if you are so close to finishing. Save your money until August. Help grandma a bit with rent or some groceries now that your a young man. Good luck! Trades are a good choice.
